Come One, Come All

2012 is underway and Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County is gearing up for an exciting year! Reopening officially on Wednesday, January 4th, our ReStore location welcomes back shoppers with improved flooring on the main level and the same good prices and awesome deals on our gently used furniture. This year will also see the construction of FOUR new homes in the area, with prospects even higher for 2013. We cannot express our gratitude for the past, present and continued support of everyone who has opened their wallets and hearts to our cause with donations of time, effort and money. Let's move forward into 2012 as a team and we will achieve the same wonderful goals.

Our friends in LINC on the U of I campus have done us a major promotional favor by creating two fun videos in our name. If you would like to see the latest adventure of ReStore Man or wonder what we do at Habitat for Humanity and why, please check them out!

Help Us Help You

The Champaign County Habitat for Humanity and ReStore would like to remind everyone about our on-going partnership with the Eastern Illinois Foodbank. As you enjoy your home-cooked meals, we ask that you keep in mind those families whose tables and tummies are empty today. To donate, please bring any non-perishable goods to our collection box in the ReStore at 119 E. University Ave. in Champaign. Remember: a good meal should never be a privilege.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BUILD SITE!

Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County has started our 60th home in Champaign County for the Arica Moss Family at 506 Beardsley. This build is being sponsored by the University of Illinois Student Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Groundbreaking for the new property took place on World Habitat Day, October 4, 2011. Progress on the home has gone well to get matters in a safe position to wait out the winter. If you would ever like to volunteer your time at a sponsored Habitat site, you can click on the "Volunteer Up" button to be taken to Volunteer Up website and find a date and time that works best for you. We hope to see you soon! If you have questions or problems, you can contact Build Volunteer Coordinator Diana for assistance at [ email ] or 217-359-0507 ext. 1065.
If you are interested in donating your time at the Moss site, please visit the University of Illinois Habitat for Humanity Student Chapter website.
