| The world slowed down: Thank
you! |
| |
The opening night of our While the World Passes
By photographic exhibit was a moving success. Community members
from all parts of our county came out to learn more about poverty
and how Habitat home ownership helps. From the base of our stairs
and along the second floor hallway, attendees took a journey from
the Dominican Republic and the Phillipines to Champaign county,
learning our home owner stories and how Habitat home ownership is a
"pathway out of poverty."
Dixon Graphics's prints will be
useful for years to come. The Flat Top Grill's food was as delicious
as ever. Friar Tuck's selection of beverages satisfied every thirst.
Herriott's Party Rentals gave elegance to our second floor cabaret.
And International Galleries and The Great Frame Up made our silent
auction a treat to look at as well as bid on.
Best of all,
home owners who shared their story for the exhibit were at the
reception, letting our supporters know exactly how their generosity
provided a hand up, not a hand out.
