...or "It is Easy Being Green" when you have good
friends at Prairie Gardens.

Horizon
volunteers have donated more than 1,000 hours to create this
beautiful sage green home for Amber and her daughters.

Last
week they focused on the outside of the home, planting bushes,
trees, hostas and ornamental grasses donated by Prairie Gardens,
under the expert guidance of Leon Rocker.

We
are getting close to the finish line. In a few short weeks the
drywall, trim and appliances will be in, the walls will be painted
and it will be time to welcome the family in to their new
home!

Please
plan to join us for the home dedication on Saturday, November 3 at
10 a.m. (1105 N Goodwin, Urbana).

Get to know Maricela
better What would owning your own home mean to your
family's future? It means the beginning of a new stage, a
sense of freedom and the possibility of a better life.
How
do balance being a mom, working and going to school? It has
been a little complicated, but I always find a time of the day to
communicate with my children about anything they want to tell me. I
usually study at night when they sleep and I focus better. At school
I teach and try to do my best. I try to find 15 minutes a day to
relax and go on.
