Did you know? PAID

Partnership Accounts for Individual Development (PAID)
is a non-profit that promotes financial education and the building
of assets for low-income, working families in Champaign County. PAID
accomplishes its mission by offering free financial literacy classes
and supporting individual development accounts (IDAs)
IDAs
are savings accounts that encourage savings by offering a match to
the deposits placed in the account. Thus, IDAs are designed to be
like 401(k) plans and other matched accounts but are available to
lower-income, working Americans, making it easier for them to
accumulate assets and wealth. IDA savings and match can then be used
to cover downpayment and closing costs on a home
purchase.
For more information on the PAID, please see their
web site or call
(217) 721-7243. |

Relocation Superstars

Randy deCelle, Tom Napier and members of UIUC Circle
K, New Life Volunteer Society, Sigma Chi and Phi Kappa Sigma did an
amazing amount of work last Tuesday. In the face of crummy weather
and steep stairs, together they got us within three hours of being
completely out of our old store location. We couldn't do this
without you: thank you!
